About me

My Story

Sexually, physically, and psychologically abused for six years of my childhood it took me a long time to build my confidence and self-worth, but now that I’ve found my voice I’m on a mission to show the power of kindness and to encourage empathy and compassion throughout the workplace and beyond; because we never know what people are going through.

A few years ago I was struggling to see the point of life. I didn’t have suicidal thoughts but I wasn’t filled with joy at the prospect of trundling through life, seemingly on a treadmill going nowhere fast. I think this line from the Robbie Williams song Feel, sums up my feelings at that time pretty well;

I don’t want to die, but ain’t keen on living either’.

Mainly because my version of living at that time was misaligned with who I am. I didn’t realise that was the case until I had some coaching and did a lot of soul-searching, and putting that work into myself led me to discover that my purpose is:

‘To stimulate reflection, to inspire belief, and to ignite growth to enable myself and those around me to flourish.’

My beliefs

  • My core value is kindness and I believe that we should all be kinder to ourselves and one another.
  • Safe psychological spaces are crucial to helping you to recognise and overcome your challenges and my ethical practice ensures full confidentiality and a non-judgemental environment.
  • I’m a believer in people and I trust that you have everything you need within you to live a life on your terms and to fulfil your potential.
  • People need people and I believe that offering an empathetic ear, supportive challenge, and the time and space for you to think makes the world of difference.
  • I believe in doing the simple things very well. Life is complicated enough with overthinking things and adding unnecessary layers of complexity.
