Speaking

How often do you listen to a speaker who has a great story but you just can’t relate to them? Or maybe you have felt inspired by a keynote only to leave the session and not know where to start, so you don’t.

I’m not sure about you, but I’ve listened to loads of successful people who have achieved amazing things, but instead of them inspiring me to work toward my dreams, often they’ve left me feeling inadequate and just as stuck as I was before. This certainly wasn’t their intent, and it may well say more about where I was in life than the speakers themselves. But the fact remained that I couldn’t relate to someone who had achieved greatness at the Olympics, been the CEO of a multi-million-pound business, or won a World Cup Winner’s medal.

The majority of the people that I work with simply want to be the very best version of themselves. Whether that be by building their confidence, bringing their best self to work, finding balance, understanding what success means to them, or feeling happy and content. And this is where I add value to individuals, teams, and organisations.

I’m not a multi-millionaire, a famous actor, or a sports personality. I’m a middle-aged man and I have been through my fair share of personal challenges. I spent years not believing in myself, feeling invisible, worthless, and not good enough and I’ve worked with lots of people who feel the same. My story, although unique to me, is one that many can relate to, and the lessons I’ve learned and actions I’ve taken are things that anybody can do too
